Scans live (approved, upcoming) events for likely duplicates — a shared source URL,
or the same day with near-identical titles. The oldest entry is the suggested keep.
Reject (the default) hides the other from the site and stops it
returning on the next scrape — and is undoable here until you reload.
Delete removes it permanently. Edit opens the full
editor in a new tab; save there, then re-run the check. Nothing changes automatically.

Post updates to visitors. Publishing adds an entry to the
public /updates archive.
Highlight as banner also shows it as a dismissible banner on
the home page — leave it off for quiet, archive-only notes. A highlighted
banner shows until you set a Show banner until date (Pacific time) or
turn the highlight off; empty means indefinitely.
